About Diana.
Hi, I’m Diana and I’m the founder of The Type A Travels!
A little bit about me: I was born and raised in New Jersey, where I’ve spent most of my life, outside of some time spent in California. In 2017, after a tough breakup and a cross-country move back to the East Coast, I found myself a bit lost and ready for a change. Not long after, I booked my very first solo trip to Spain—only my second time ever traveling abroad. Seven years and 20+ countries later, I’m here to share the stories, lessons, and tips I’ve picked up along the way.
When I’m not planning my next trip, I’m work full-time in public relations and making the most of my unlimited PTO. I’m a big fan of books, movies, live music, and spending time with my dog Jameson, my four-year-old travel buddy who’s always up for a road trip.
I’ve always been an organized person (think color-coded bookshelves and closets), so it’s no surprise that my travel style follows suit. I lean hard into the Type A — my bed is always made, my plans are always meticulously mapped out, and my calendar is my lifeline. But while I love a solid itinerary, I also leave space for the unexpected, because sometimes the best moments happen when you don’t plan for them.
For me, travel is more than just a hobby — it’s a way to connect with the world and the people in it. Exploring new cultures and meeting others has pushed me outside of my comfort zone and helped me grow in ways I never imaged. Now, I want to help you do the same.
Whether you thrive on structure or are just looking for some guidance, The Type A Travels is here to make your adventures easier with packing tips, detailed itineraries, travel hacks, and more.
Grab your passport (and maybe a color-coded checklist) and let’s explore this wild, wonderful world together!
